Israeli scientists have visited the Monitoring Center of RSSC

Republican Seismic Survey Center of ANAS expands relations with international scientific organizations and seismological institutions of foreign countries. With a working visit to Baku, executive director of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Meir Zadok, and Professor of Immunology Faculty of Weizmann Institute Ruth Arnon have visited Monitoring Center of RSSC ANAS.

The meeting was attended by academician-secretary of the Department of Earth Sciences of ANAS, academician Fakhraddin Gadirov, general director of RSSC, and corresponding member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli, Deputy of general director of RSSC on Scientific Affairs, candidate of physical-mathematical sciences Azay Rzayev, PhD of geological-mineralogical sciences Gulam Babayev and head of Scientific Relations Department of RSSC Telman Jafarov.

General director of RSSC ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli told the guests about the work done by the Center, complex seismic studies and the results obtained. Later, with a presentation on the work of the Center spoke a head of "Earthquake epicenter dynamics", PhD of geological-mineralogical sciences Sabina Kazimova. Appreciating the work done in Azerbaijan in the field of seismology, the guests expressed interest in bilateral cooperation and noted that this cooperation can be mutually beneficial for both parts. General director of RSSC G.Yetirmishli spoke about the representation of the Center in the international seismological organizations and close collaboration with the leading countries of the world. The discussion also touched upon other issues of mutual interest.
